Valais tomatoes, a source of fresh vitamins

Area of origin: Canton of Valais

Composition: rich in vitamin C and beta-carotene and therefore good for the skin and arteries.

Appearance, taste/flavour: with a vivid red colour, they come in a wide range of flavours. The Valais tomato is round, in a bunch or as a cherry tomato.

Production: the Valais brand guarantees the maturity, conformity with the size and adherence to strict social and environmental norms.

To enjoy: fresh in a salad, cooked as an accompaniment, in a sauce, puree…

Seasonality: June-September

Preparation: to wash them, do not remove the stalk as the tomatoes will fill with water.

Conditions and length of preservation: a few days at room temperature. If kept in the refrigerator, they lose their flavour.
